What the Heck Is This?

What’s Going On? Where Am I?

Ssh, it’s okay.

Relax.

This is a website.

It’s a website for us, an alleged Theatre Company.

Nice to meet you.

We create and perform comedy theatre, primarily in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (One of the chilliest places to do theatre.)

Our shows are written and created to entertain audiences and to create new and interesting live performance situations. (How vague and intriguing!)

If you want to learn more, you’re in the right place (our website).

You can see what people are saying, explore our past productions, put some faces to the names, and maybe even get a ticket to what we have coming up.

You can also keep scrolling on this page to learn even more arcane knowledge.

Mission Statement

Vision Statement

  • To create and support original, world-class performances that push the limits of theatre, comedy, and performance without sacrificing broader audience appeal.
  • To be a hub of innovation in theatrical practice and thought.
  • To create unique theatrical experiences for our audiences.
  • To lead by example in the theatre industry by questioning what constitutes a healthy, sustainable, and artistically-fulfilling work environment.

History

an alleged Theatre Company is a theatre company (allegedly) based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It was founded in 2017 by local mischief-makers and ne’er-do-wells Jake Mierva and Danylo Loutchko.
They somehow felt they were qualified to write, produce, and act in a play.

Today, with over a dozen original productions under their belts, they feel only marginally more qualified.

In 2019, an alleged Theatre Company shifted focus from being a vessel for Jake and Danylo to put up their silly plays, to an organization dedicated to fostering artistic and comedic excellence through artist development and quality performances.
